Here's the story...

My name is Raul Soria Jr., a heavy metal-obsessed editorial photographer and graphic designer specializing in music photography and print design, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I’ve put my teeth to the grinder for over 10 years shooting everything from small, horribly lit dive bars to larger venues all over Hawaii while promoting Hawai’i’s local scene and national touring acts through my blog, zines and misc. publications that I’ve helped create. If you want someone who’s willing to rush into the pit and draw blood for your images look no further.

I have an AS degree in Communication Arts from Honolulu Community College, charge neck-breaking shorebreak weekly, have a long history of Eastern Martial Arts & Capoeira, and fear no pit ninja.

My work has appeared in Abstract Magazine, Honolulu Magazine, Whole Foods Market, The 808 SceneZine, Hawaii Business News, MetroHNL, Summit Magazine HI and fiveonfive Roller Derby Magazine.

I’ve also had public art installations at Spalding House Cafe and Borders Books & Music and have spoken about my work PechaKucha’s 20x20 event.
